As a Cedar Rapids wedding photographer, I was so excited to get to work at Ashton Hill Farm. Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Annie and Zach’s wedding. The classic backdrop of the farm provided the perfect setting for Annie and Zach’s relaxed party. The bohemian yet clean lines of the decor complemented their event focused on their shared love of music, beer and friendship. With their friends and family spread out all over the country, the couple was so excited to have their closest loved ones all under one roof.
Annie had this to say about her wedding day:
“I think one of the most unique things about our relationship is that our circle of friends and family is pretty much shared. We have an incredibly tight knit group of people in our lives…and it’s never “his friends” or “my friends” we all kind of operate collectively as a family and it’s one of the most special things to be a part of. I am so excited to spend the day with people who will be coming from all over the country to support us. Even though we are close with so many people, most of us live in different places and are very spread out. Getting everyone back together and having their support will mean the world to us. I’m looking forward to Zach and I having those moments of realization of how lucky we are to have found each other, and to have the group of people that came with each of us joining together and being one big family unit. I’m also excited for Zach’s band and his friends’ band to play music together again…that’s something that Zach has been looking forward to for such a long time, and playing music with his friends is one of his fondest memories of his entire life, so I think it will be really special to see them play together again. Obviously the day is about us, but we are just excited to share the day with everyone that means the most to us.”
It’s not every day that I get to witness the kind of love that Annie and Zach share. Thank you for reminding me why I do what I do! If you are looking for a Cedar Rapids wedding photographer, please fill out my contact form here to get in touch!
