Check out this recent Iowa City engagement session with Steven and Paige! We went to the Coralville Fossil Gorge, one of my favorite locations, to commemorate their engagement. Like I said, the fossil gorge is one of my favorite places to photograph. It has such a great mix of rugged textures with lush greenery. There are also great trails around the gorge to explore around the river and surrounding woods. You may notice it as a backdrop for quite a few of my sessions, like this Iowa City engagement session last year. There’s always something new to find. This day, we were blessed with a blooming wall of bridal wreaths. Talk about good timing!
I’ll be photographing Steven and Paige’s wedding this fall in Wisconsin. I couldn’t be more excited! Paige’s sister is also a photographer, and I could tell they’ve had some practice posing. They were so easy to work with and I know their photos are going to be so gorgeous on their wedding day. Paige is working on her PhD at the University of Iowa while Steven works as a paramedic in Des Moines. The time they get together is precious and I could totally see how much they cherish the time they do get together. Paige and Steven have such a firm and confident love between them. I can’t wait to be a witness to their commitment in a few months!
Engagement sessions are a great opportunity for me to get a feel for my clients. It gives them a chance to get to know me, too. We spend so much time together on the wedding day, that I really feel it is important to be comfortable with each other.
