Spring Galesburg Wedding at Walnut Grove Farm | Danielson Photography

Today’s weather had me reminiscing about this spring Galesburg wedding at Walnut Grove Farm.  This was fun to go back on and see just how much my photography style has changed.  Today is Grant and Beth’s two year anniversary!  The weather was EXACTLY like it is today.  Hot and humid, big billowy clouds, and scattered storms.  We were in the clear for most of the day, but you’ll see in the photos that we weren’t spared a torrential downpour during cocktail hour.  They have the best family and friends who sprung into action to get the walls of the tent up quick.  Her poor brother was soaked through by the end, so I hope he was given brother of the year award…at least of the week!

Some highlights I remember from the day that were particularly special: The peonies used throughout were from family heirloom plants that are 100 years old!  Beth is a super talented baker and made her own wedding cake.  Because baking is so dear to her heart, she had her family members bake their favorite family goodies for the dessert table to share.  And my favorite moment of the day was Beth’s family dance, where her brothers and family stepped in for a joyous substitution to honor her late Dad in lieu of the father/daughter dance.  A joy-filled day for a fun loving couple.
